Directions to Ausable Valley Alpacas

FROM THE NORTH & EAST Take I-87 to Exit 34. At the end of the ramp turn left onto Route 9N. Travel 16.3 miles (through Clintonville & AuSable Forks) to the intersection of Essex County Rt 82 (just past Devin’s Garage & Deli which is on the left). Turn left onto Essex County Rt 82. Go down the hill and over the bridge (16.5 miles from Exit 34). After the bridge, take second right turn onto Howard Heights Lane. AV Alpacas is the last place on the left. The house is red with white trim and the barn is just beyond the garage.

FROM LAKE PLACID (WEST)   From the intersection of Route 86 and Route 73 (Main Street and Morningside Drive) in Lake Placid Take Route 86 to the Village of Jay (17.2 miles). At the intersection of Route 9N turn left onto Route 9N, take an immediate right turn onto Essex County Rt 82. Go down the hill and over the bridge. After the bridge, take second right turn onto Howard Heights Lane. AV Alpacas is the last place on the left. The house is red with white trim and the barn is just beyond the garage.

FROM THE SOUTH & EAST Take Exit 30 off I-87. Follow signs to Route 73 West From the I-87 exit, travel 2.2 miles to the beginning of Route 73. At 13.8 miles go past junction of Route 9N and continue West on Route 73 (do not turn right toward Elizabethtown!). In town of Keene, at 15.9 miles (just past Stewart’s Shop), bear right onto Route 9N North. At 25.8 miles make a right turn onto Essex County Rt 82 just past the village green in Jay. Go down the hill and over the bridge. After the bridge, take second right turn onto Howard Heights Lane. AV Alpacas is the last place on the left. The house is red with white trim and the barn is just beyond the garage.
